Regular Maintenance
All the Dos and Dont to look after your Gazebo

Never allow your Gazebo to have water sitting around the bottom of it as still water can cause mildew. Even though we do coat the Gazebo in Anti Fungal stain it is better to keep large amounts of water away.
Keep your Gazebo away from direct contact with dirt. (It should be sitting on a concrete slab, pavers or decking)

Staining…….
Restaining once a year is generally recommended to keep your Gazebo in premium condition.
A tell tail sign of aging is when the Gazebo starts to fade. When the timber goes a grey colour it is well over due for a restain. Take the time to do this and you will get years and years of enjoyment from this great product.

Prepare for staining……….
To stain simply wipe down your Gazebo with warm water and MILD detergent (dishwashing liquid) and wipe with a cloth making sure all dirt etc is removed, then rinse with clean water. Once dry apply stain with a brush, following instructions from the Outdoorable living stain tin. Stain can be purchased from your spa dealer. A timber cleaner is also available for those Gazebos that have gone grey to remove any old finish and mould.
  • Only sand when removing any noticeable marks.
  • Make sure you stain when the weather is going to be good for at least two days as the stain may take up to 48hrs at 20 degrees to dry, so in colder weather it will take longer. Sometimes your Gazebo may take on a slightly cloudy look but after a few weeks this will disappear.

DO NOT…….
  • Do not use any harsh detergents or bleaches to clean timber.
  • Do not use a high pressure cleaner (Gurney) as this can mark the timber, making the re staining more challenging.

U.V. TINTED ACRYLIC WINDOWS & DOME SKYLIGHT……
To clean windows simply wipe with warm water, a mild detergent and a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse with clean water and dry completely with a dry cloth or chamois.

DO NOT…….
  • Do not use any thinners, window cleaners, bleaches or turps on the acrylic windows.
  • Do not clean or scrub with anything abrasive. Never scrape with a knife or other sharp instruments.

ROOF…….
For colorbond roofing simply gurney or hose down.
For any scratches you can purchase touch up paint from your spa dealer.
